Students in French I honors will learn basic vocabulary and grammar that will allow them to communicate at a basic level. We focus on speaking, writing, and reading comprehension. They will also learn about France and other francophone cultures. We will move faster than students in French I standard and will start by covering the same material. By the end of the year French I honors will cover more material due to the faster pace of the course. French I honors students are preparing for French II honors and possibly even higher levels of French as they continue throughout high school. Students who are enrolled in other honors courses, especially honors English, are encouraged to take honors French.
As we continue to build on the knowledge they gain, I ask that students spend a minimum of 10 minutes every day reviewing vocabulary and the lessons that are covered in class. Archives
