At this time we don't know how the rest of the school year will go and there are no assignments due at this time. Some have reached out to me asking for something to work on so they don't fall behind, so I decided to update my website with material we would be working on if life were back to normal. We went over farm animals and comparatives from Chapitre 6, but we never went over superlatives. I've kept those videos on this page for you to review. New material comes from Chapitre 7 which starts with vocab related to camping and review of the passé composé and the imparfait.
Here are some good resources to use just to keep up your language skills. These are not specific to any topic in particular. It's just good practice. I'll add to this list as I find new resources. https://www.duolingo.com/ http://www.tv5monde.com/ Chapitre 7 Notes: 7.1 Vocab - Camping - french_ii_vocab_7.1.pptx 7.1 Grammar - Review of passé composé and imparfait Passé Composé vs. Imparfait - pc_vs_imparfait.pptx Passé Composé ou Imparfait - pc_ou_imparfait.pptx Helpful YouTube videos: Chapitre 6 Farm animals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ss1iKj_01aA Comparatives: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jut-mQx2mug Superlatives: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdSSGn9tnK Chapitre 7 P.C.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SsVeaQZbYM Verbs of movement: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2tufUvfHCM -er verbs in p.c.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QS3Hm7gnifE parler (p.c.): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgRhGTfe16E French verbs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rij32_flc4U Imparfait: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rIpdKd1sBw Imparfait vs. P.C.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eN83AzTBfRc This week we will learn vocabulary 6.2 related to life in the country and how to use comparatives and superlatives. Students in French II honors will continue learning vocabulary and more advanced grammar that will allow them to communicate at a more advanced level. We focus on speaking, writing, and reading comprehension. They will continue learning about France and francophone cultures. Students in French II honors will be learning at a faster pace than those in French II standard and will cover more material by the end of the year. These students are preparing for French III and IB level courses for the following year.
The concepts in French II become more complicated. I ask that students continue preparing at home by studying regularly to keep up with the pace of the class. Studying 10 minutes every day will make a big difference in your understanding. Archives
