French Club dues are $15 each year (cash or money order only...no checks). We will meet once a month during school. We are a B club, so we will be the second club meeting each month. Club dues go towards pizza and prizes at each of our after school parties (fall picnic, holiday party, & Mardi Gras party, reception). All former and current French students are encouraged to join. Please join us as we celebrate la francophonie!
The next French Club meeting will be Wednesday, March 25 in the auditorium during the club period. We will be having a talent show competition! Please contact me to let me know if you want to participate, who is in your group if it is not just you, and what your performance will be. There will be a judge and prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
The French Club Mardi Gras Party will be after school Tuesday from 2:30-3:30. French club will be providing pizza from Papa Johns. We will play a game where we design costumes for prizes, so bring something to help your team win. We will also be crowning a king and queen of Mardi Gras based on the boy and girl who find the prize in their king's cake. Remember that this event is only open to French club members.
We will meet again on Wednesday, February 19 in the auditorium to play French jeopardy. Please join us and try to win prizes!
French Club will meet in C auditorium on Wednesday, January 22 during the club period (intervention). All club members are encouraged to attend.
The party will be Tuesday, December 10 in the cafeteria from 2:30-3:30. It is for French club members only. We will be serving pizza and dessert. Students will only need to bring a white elephant gift (something from home wrapped or put in a gift bag) if you want to play the gift exchange game. Suggestions for gifts can be an old CD, DVD, video game, book, etc. that you no longer want. Sometimes people also bring a coffee mug with candy or stationary. It doesn't need to be anything fancy, and you really shouldn't have to spend any money on it unless you would just like to.
If school is cancelled or we are sent home early due to the weather, we will reschedule for Wednesday Dec 11. Our next French club meeting will be November 20 in the auditorium during clubs (intervention period). Please attend this meeting if you are in the club. We will be handing out student of the month awards and watching French skits.
Just a reminder that the French Club Picnic will be Thursday after school in C.O. Franklin Park next to the school. French club members only are allowed to attend. We will be supplying pizza. Students are asked to bring additional food listed at the bottom. The picnic will last until 4:00, but you may leave earlier if your ride picks you up before then. Please make sure your ride picks you up no later than 4:00. No one is required to attend except club officers. It is just a fun event for club members.
Please bring the following to the picnic: French 1 - desserts French 2 - chips or snacks French 3/4/5 - drinks, coolers w/ice Congratulations to the following students who were elected for French Club Officers 2019-2020.
